Job summary

AOG Living is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to help oversee maintenance for an apartment community in Houston, TX. The role supports the Service Manager in daily property upkeep, preventative maintenance, and make-ready processes.

You will handle resident requests, perform repair tasks across appliances, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, and help maintain safety across the property. Strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of multi-family experience or equivalent.
HVAC/Freon Recovery certification or ability to become certified within 6 months.
CAMT certification preferred.
Permits/city requirements for pool operations may be required.

Responsibilities

Respond to resident/management requests and work orders using established priorities.
Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and other maintenance tasks.
Identify and correct hazardous conditions; perform safety audits.
Prepare vacant units for move-in and complete make-ready tasks.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and maintenance shops.
Be flexible to work at other properties and participate in emergency response.
