Job summary

Asset Living in Houston, TX is seeking a Make Ready Technician to support maintenance operations across multifamily communities. You will assist with corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic tasks under supervision, ensuring units are ready for new residents and maintaining common areas and grounds.

Role requires basic computer skills, knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA, and reliable transportation for on-call responses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Community maintenance and on-site presence daily.
• Ensure make-ready units meet property standards before new residents move in, including repairs, painting, new appliances, and checks of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders promptly for common areas, buildings and units.
• Assist in scheduling and performing maintenance/repair-related turn events.
• Maintain daily cleanliness of the exterior, grounds, buildings and common areas.
• Perform pool maintenance and maintain accurate chemical logs.
• Inspect grounds and facilities daily to identify hazards and ensure safety.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program to extend the life of the community.
• Maintain records regarding service requests, EPA/OSHA standards, and make-ready status.
• Report observed violations to Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager.
