The primary responsibility is to resolve facility maintenance issues in state-owned buildings managed by the Facilities Management Division within the Division of Highways and Division of Motor Vehicles. The employee works under the supervision of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and must have excellent knowledge of building codes relevant to the area of responsibility. Candidates should perform at the journey level in at least two trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, or plastering). The role may require working at various facilities as directed, including during emergencies, after hours, weekends, and holidays, with potential for unscheduled overtime and after-hours call-backs. Presence during inclement weather is expected.

Necessary Special Qualification: May require current EPA certification as a Type I, II, III, or Universal technician, as mandated by federal regulations.
