The NCDAC / Support Services / Division of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance (DECM) is recruiting a Maintenance/Construction Technician III (Region Maintenance Technician) for the Mountain Regional Maintenance Team, based at Western Correctional Center for Women (WCCW) in Black Mountain, NC / Buncombe County. The role involves general preventative maintenance and system replacements.
The ideal candidate will have journeyman level experience in construction trades such as concrete, carpentry, masonry, etc., be able to read blueprints, work independently, and perform various maintenance duties.
This position requires daily travel to WCCW, assisting with maintenance at other regional facilities. It is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday, with potential weekend work and overnight travel. Benefits include retirement, health insurance, paid leave, and holidays. The salary range effective from January 1, 2025, is $39,671 - $69,426.
