Job description

Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance/Construction Technician IV.

The Maintenance/Construction Technician IV is a working supervisor responsible for supervising and coordinating the carpentry staff and construction projects at the facility.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Provide maintenance and construction supervision for the BMNTC campus, including the main campus and outlying buildings.
  2. Supervise the carpentry department, including staff, equipment, and shops.
  3. Coordinate all major and minor building construction and renovation projects under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Director.
  4. Collaborate with outside contractors and engineers.
  5. Ensure compliance with all building, life safety, and fire codes.
  6. Supervise maintenance of windows and doors.
  7. Oversee physical security measures, including security devices and door locks.
  8. Supervise maintenance of groundskeeping equipment.
  9. Prepare cost estimates, sketches, and drawings for maintaining structures.

This position is designated MANDATORY and requires reporting or staying over during adverse weather events or emergencies.

BMNTC is one of three state-operated facilities serving adults with chronic, complex medical conditions and neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders, often with severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disabilities. The residents require 24-hour supervision, nursing care, and assistance with daily activities.
