Job summary

JLL in Richmond, VA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support day-to-day upkeep across multiple trades, participate in preventive maintenance, assist with event setup, and coordinate with vendors. The role requires 1–2 years of related maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, on-site at the Richmond campus. This position requires safety-aware, customer-focused service and the ability to work with

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to participate in rotating on‑call schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Assist the facilities team in maintenance and repair of the building and equipment.
• Perform general maintenance including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and painting.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Perform room set‑up/tear‑down for events.
• Move outbound/inbound packages to/from Shipping & Receiving area.
• Complete assigned work orders in CMMS and maintain service documentation.
• Work collaboratively with the onsite JLL team and under the direction of the Sr. Facility Manager.
• Provide customer service to our client.
• Support on‑call or emergency response situations.
