Job summary

Pinnacle Living’s Cedarfield community in the Richmond, VA area is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair building systems and ensure the smooth operation of the campus. The role involves working with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and other trades to support resident comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of maintenance experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High-school education or GED equivalency required.
• Vo-tech training or specialized training courses in associated fields preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience in building and equipment maintenance and repair required.

Responsibilities

• Repair doors, locks, windows, screens, fixtures etc. per policies and procedures.
• Assist in implementing a preventive maintenance program and maintain records.
• Support maintenance team to complete repairs to the facility in a timely fashion.
• Troubleshoot equipment and report repair needs to supervisor.
• Serve as on-call maintenance person to cover after-hours emergencies.
• Attend safety meetings and trainings as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and suggest improvements for safety and efficiency.
• Assist with landscape maintenance and snow removal as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
