Related Affordable is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep buildings and grounds safe, functional and inviting in Richmond, VA. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks while serving residents with high-quality maintenance support.

You will participate in on-call rotations, prepare vacant units, and help ensure timely completion of service requests, with opportunities for skill growth and career advancement within our community-focused housing organization.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
• Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
• Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
• Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
