Job summary

Paycom - ATS Maintenance offers a Maintenance Assistant role in Merrillville, IN, reporting to the Maintenance Director. You’ll oversee safety programs, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to requests to keep homes secure and compliant with policies.

You’ll work on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and equipment maintenance, conduct drills, and support residents with compassion, dignity, and a warm environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required.
• Prior senior living experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Sustain a preventative maintenance program for community equipment, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Complete all maintenance requests, scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently.
• Mechanically repair, replace or install minor equipment, hardware and controls.
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners and kitchen equipment.
• Perform exterior maintenance duties and assist with safety drills.
• Engage with residents in a compassionate and dignified manner reflecting our values.

Responsibilities:Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director, our Maintenance Assistant oversees the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulationsSustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systemsCompletes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficientlyMechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls.
