Job summary

Reflections Retirement Community in Westerville, OH is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join The Village of Westerville campus. You will support safety programs, oversee a secure resident environment, and perform routine maintenance tasks on building systems.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen equipment, handling requests promptly, and assisting with drills and resident interactions in a warm, respectful manner aligned with our values.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
• HVAC systems and/or electrical experience required.
• Prior senior living experience desired.
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Community safety program and maintain a secure resident home and working environment per policy and regulations.
• Sustain a preventive maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Complete maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently.
• Mechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls with approval.
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment and related equipment.
• Maintain community plumbing systems and exterior maintenance duties.
• Perform fire and disaster drill activities with residents and team members.
• Engage with residents in a warm, compassionate manner reflecting the values of love and dignity.

Job Details: Job Location: The Village of Westerville - Westerville, OH 43081, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $25.00 - $27.00 Hourly, Job Shift: 1st shift

Responsibilities:

• Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director, our Maintenance Assistant oversees the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
• Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
• Mechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls. Such scope of work is to be cleared by the Executive Director
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment and associated equipment
• Maintain community plumbing systems
• Performs exterior maintenance duties
• Performs fire and disaster drill activities with residents and team members
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction
