Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at Churchview Supportive Living in Chicago, IL. You will support the Maintenance Director, oversee the community safety program, and help maintain a secure and comfortable living environment.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing; handling requests, repairs as needed; maintain water heaters and appliances; participate in drills and engage with residents with compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required.
• Prior Senior living experience desired.
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations.
• Maintains a preventative maintenance program to ensure proper functioning of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently.
• Mechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls as cleared by the Executive Director.
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment and related equipment.
• Maintain community plumbing systems.
• Performs exterior maintenance duties.
• Performs fire and disaster drill activities with residents and team members.
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner reflecting the values of love, compassion and dignity.

Job Location: Churchview Supportive Living - Chicago, IL 60629, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.00 Hourly, Job Shift: 1st shift

Responsibilities:

• Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director, our Maintenance Assistant oversees the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
• Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
• Mechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls. Such scope of work is to be cleared by the Executive Director
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment and associated equipment
• Maintain community plumbing systems
• Performs exterior maintenance duties
• Performs fire and disaster drill activities with residents and team members
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction
