Job summary

Reflections Retirement Community in Plainfield, IL is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director. The role focuses on maintaining a secure, comfortable resident environment in accordance with policies and regulations.

The successful candidate will oversee preventative maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, handle maintenance requests, perform exterior tasks and participate in safety drills with residents, while demonstrating compassion and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC and/or electrical experience required.
• Experience in senior living is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Community safety program and maintain a secure resident home and working environment in line with policy and regulations.

Job Location: Heritage Woods of Plainfield - Plainfield, IL 60544, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 Hourly, Job Shift: 1st shift

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director, our Maintenance Assistant oversees the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
• Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
• Performs exterior maintenance duties
• Performs fire and disaster drill activities with residents and team members
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required
• Prior Senior living experience desired
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
