Reflections Retirement Community in Round Lake Beach, IL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant who will support the safety program and maintain a secure resident environment under the Maintenance Director.

This part-time role focuses on preventive maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other equipment, handling requests quickly and ensuring a welcoming, dignity-driven atmosphere for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with HVAC and/or electrical systems.
• Prior senior living experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the community safety program and maintains a secure resident home under the Maintenance Director.
• Keeps a preventative maintenance program for HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Completes maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, promptly.
• Performs exterior maintenance duties.
• Conducts fire and disaster drill activities with residents and team.
• Fosters a compassionate environment reflecting the values of love, compassion, and dignity.

Position Type: Part Time
Salary Range: $17.50 - $19.50 Hourly

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director, our Maintenance Assistant oversees the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
• Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
• Performs exterior maintenance duties
• Performs fire and disaster drill activities with residents and team members
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required
• Prior Senior living experience desired
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
