Responsabilidades

• Repairs, replaces, and installs minor equipment, hardware, and controls.
• Maintains water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment.
• Keeps community plumbing systems in good condition.
• Completes maintenance requests promptly, including emergencies.
• Performs inventory and ensures safe chemical storage.
• Implements safety protocols to meet OSHA requirements.
• Performs exterior maintenance as needed.
• Engages with residents with compassion and dignity.

Job Details

Job Location: Churchview Supportive Living - Chicago, IL, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $60000.00 - $65000.00Salary/year, Job Shift: 1st shift, Churchview Support Living is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Director to join our team, anticipated through October 2026.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations
• Sustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team in providing exceptional services
• Mechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment and associated equipment
• Maintain community plumbing systems
• Completes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently
• Conducts inventory on chemical supplies and complies with proper storage and usage procedures
• Implements safety protocols and procedures to avert incidents and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
• Performs exterior maintenance duties as necessary
• Delivers fire and disaster education and performs preparation and drill activities with residents and team members
• Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required
• Prior senior living experience desired
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire
