Qualifications

• 5+ years of IBM Db2 for z/OS administration experience in a mainframe environment.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS operating system fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
• Proven ability to monitor, tune, and optimize Db2 performance through workload analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience with database security administration, user access management, and production support/incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain IBM Db2 for z/OS databases in a mainframe environment
• Monitor database health, availability, and performance to ensure reliable daily operations
• Execute database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures supporting high availability needs
• Analyze workloads to tune performance, resolve bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies
• Collaborate on deployments, upgrades, documentation, and ongoing operational best practices
