Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in the United States is seeking an Associate for Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence to support buy-side and sell-side engagements. You will work with senior advisors to analyze financial statements, assess earnings quality, and prepare client-ready materials.

Qualifications

Minimum 2–3 years of audit at a top accounting firm, plus 1 year in financial due diligence preferred.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or related major.
CPA certification or in progress.
Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid project management and teamwork abilities.
Thrives in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying key risks and deal breakers.
Analyze detailed financial statements and synthesize findings for discussions with target management.
Assess the quality of earnings, net assets and cash flows.
Prepare deal‑oriented reports and presentations highlighting financial findings and drivers of profits.
Participate in meetings with target management and client personnel as secondary contact.
Support building and maintaining client relationships and business opportunities.
