Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm seeking an Associate for Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence. The role supports buy‑side/sell‑side due diligence, capital markets and accounting advisory services across multiple U.S. regions, including Miami.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of audit experience, CPA or in progress, and a strong grasp of US GAAP and SEC reporting. The base salary is $100,000 annually with discretionary bonus potential, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of audit experience at a top accounting firm.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in a financial accounting due diligence group.
• CPA or in the process of obtaining one.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with core financial due diligence, helping to identify key risks and potential deal breakers, assess strengths/weaknesses against benchmarks, and aid evaluation within client investment strategy.
• Analyze detailed financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and synthesize data for discussions with target management.
• Assess the quality of reported earnings, net assets and cash flows of the target.
• Prepare deal-oriented reports and presentations highlighting key findings and negotiating points.
