Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Associate for Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence in the United States. The role requires 2–3 years of audit experience, a degree in Accounting, and CPA progression. Strong US GAAP and SEC knowledge, plus advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills, are essential.

You will analyze financial data, prepare deal‑oriented reports, and support client relationships in a fast-paced environment. The base salary is $100,000 annually, with a discretionary bonus program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years of audit experience at a top accounting firm and preferred minimum 1 year in financial accounting due diligence.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or related major.
• CPA or in the process of obtaining one.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Flexibility to work as both a team member and as an individual contributor.
• Ability to thrive and be effective in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with core financial due diligence to identify risks and deal breakers.
• Analyze income, balance sheet, cash flow and key operational data.
• Assess quality of reported earnings, net assets and cash flows.
• Prepare deal-oriented reports and presentations for clients highlighting findings.
• Participate in meetings with target management and client personnel.
• Support client relationship building and business development opportunities.
