Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Senior Associate in Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence to support buy-side and sell-side engagements from the United States, collaborating with cross-functional professionals to deliver rigorous financial analyses and value‑driven insights.

You will analyze financial statements, assess earnings quality, and help craft deal‑oriented reports. The role emphasizes client interaction, teamwork, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of audit and financial due diligence experience, with at least 1 year in financial due diligence.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or related major.
• CPA or in the process of obtaining one.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Flexibility to work as both a team member and an individual contributor.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with core financial due diligence, helping to identify key risks and potential deal breakers, assess strengths and weaknesses against benchmarks, and aid in evaluation of the potential transaction.
• Analyze detailed financial statement information, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and key operational data for client discussions.
• Assess the quality of the target’s reported earnings, net assets, and cash flows.
• Construct deal-oriented reports and presentations that highlight financial and commercial findings and their effect on valuation and agreements.
• Participate in meetings and conference calls with target management and client personnel, serving as a day-to-day contact.
• Build and maintain client relationships and support business development opportunities.
