Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal’s Associate – Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence in San Francisco is a hands‑on role within TAG. You will assist with financial due diligence, analyze financial statements, and help prepare client presentations to highlight key drivers of value.

The position requires 2–3 years of audit experience, a degree in accounting, CPA or CPA‑track, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills. A&M offers broad benefits and a discretionary bonus program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or related major.
• CPA or in the process of obtaining one.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with core financial due diligence to identify risks and deal breakers.
• Analyze income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and key operating data; synthesize insights for discussions with target management.
• Assess the quality of the target company’s reported earnings, net assets and cash flows.
• Prepare deal‑oriented reports and presentations highlighting financial and commercial findings and implications for valuation and agreements.
• Participate in meetings with target management and client personnel; serve as a secondary contact for day‑to‑day execution matters.
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify business development opportunities.
