Johnny Was in California seeks an Assistant Store Manager to coach a high-performing sales team and deliver elevated client experiences. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive topline results, analyze selling reports, and maintain brand standards across the store floor.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of luxury retail management, strong communication, and a passion for fashion, trends, and merchandising. Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and events, is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of sales management experience in luxury retail or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a similar field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to the needs of the business.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse team.
• Strong understanding of luxury fashion, trends, and visual merchandising.
• Ability to work retail hours including days, nights, weekends, and special events.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coach, develop, and motivate the sales team to meet performance goals through ongoing feedback and support.
• Lead the sales team by example through sales efforts and customer service on the sales floor to increase profitability.
• Commitment for delivering results; actively aware of personal and store metrics and achieves goals.
• Model and enforce dress code compliance.
• Ensure that customer and employee experience are prioritized over workload or tasking.
• Demonstrate confidence when leading the team and managing the store.
• Takes initiative; has a high level of ownership and accountability for results, both personally and as a team.
• Contribute to long-term growth by recruiting high level candidates and maintaining and developing a store team of associates able to meet service and sales goals.
