Job summary

The Knox Hotel Employer LLC, operating The Knox, Auberge Collection in Dallas, seeks a Food Runner to support seamless dining experiences. You will liaise between kitchen and service teams, ensure accurate preparation and timely delivery, and uphold high hospitality standards.

Prior experience in customer service, strong English communication, and a professional, guest-focused demeanor are essential. Flexibility to work weekends/holidays and a food-handler certification or ability to obtain it

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or a similar role required; luxury hospitality experience preferred
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate clearly in English
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Able to follow instructions and maintain high service standards
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Food handler certification or ability to obtain as required by local regulations

Responsibilities

• Ensure clear and effective communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams by calling out orders, checking dish status, and alerting service staff when orders are ready
• Coordinate the expediting process to ensure orders are completed accurately, on time, and prioritized correctly
• Perform final quality checks on dishes, including adding garnishes, wiping plate edges, and confirming presentation standards
• Deliver food to guests accurately, ensuring correct placement and order integrity
• Assist servers, bartenders, and guests throughout service, including delivering additional items and fulfilling requests promptly
• Ensure food is served under safety and sanitation standards, including proper temperature and handling
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of the expediting area and service stations
• Operate, maintain, and properly clean all restaurant equipment and service tools
