Job summary

The Jefferson, Washington D.C. is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to lead a luxury F&B operation within our acclaimed property. You will drive service excellence, manage a talented team, and oversee beverage and wine programs to maximize guest satisfaction and profitability.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in F&B management in upscale settings, deep knowledge of beverages and cocktails, and proficiency with Word, Excel, Kronos; availability evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as member of a Food & Beverage management team in a hotel environment, boutique hotel or high-end fine dining.
• Ability to increase sales through operations and service excellence by implementing practices.
• Extensive knowledge of beverages, cocktails and food.
• Previous experience managing a wine & beverage program a plus.
• Computer literate especially Microsoft Word, Excel and Kronos.
• Experience in Union environment preferred.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the highest quality of luxury service and guest satisfaction, achieved through their ability to develop and maintain a strong team environment.
• Accountable for sales and profit in their area and will be providing first line support to the hotel manager.
• Responsible for oversight and control of beverage and wine inventory, purchasing, and sales.
• Oversees the dining room during operation; maintains the cleanliness and organization of the wine cellars.
• Must have strong leadership skills, willing to lead by example, and have the ability to work independently.
