Job summary

Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square is seeking a Food & Beverage Operations Manager to lead Opaline Bar & Brasserie, In-Room Dining, Banquets, and Refreshment Center outlets, driving service excellence and innovation.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will manage floor operations, develop revenue-driving ideas, train staff to brand standards, and balance administrative duties with guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years progressive F&B management experience in a luxury hotel.
• POS systems (Silverware) and MS Office proficiency a plus.
• Hands-on management style with ability to lead by example.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Availability for afternoons/evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee F&B areas and drive service vision across Banquets and Outlets.
• Develop revenue-driving ideas engaging local market and guests.
• Train ambassadors to brand standards and grooming expectations.
• Manage schedules, inventory, and procurement; ensure cash handling and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
