The Jefferson, Washington DC is seeking a Concierge / Front Desk Agent to deliver exceptional guest experiences from arrival through departure at our award-winning luxury hotel in Washington, DC. As a primary contact, you combine front desk duties with personalized concierge service, offering warm, attentive, and seamless service.

The ideal candidate knows Washington, DC attractions, communicates expertly, and thrives in a high-service environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous guest service, front office, concierge, or related hospitality experience in a luxury hotel or similar environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Washington, DC attractions, dining, cultural venues, and transportation options preferred.
  • Polished, professional, and welcoming demeanor with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide personalized service and build positive guest relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with hotel management systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome, register, and check out guests in an efficient, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Handle guest arrivals, departures, room assignments, and billing inquiries accurately.
  • Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of hotel services, amenities, policies, and promotions.
  • Process guest payments and maintain accurate records in the property management system.
  • Handle all incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with duties in the areas of Front Services, Call Center, Concierge, and Food & Beverage as needed.
  • Resolve guest concerns efficiently and appropriately while maintaining a positive guest experience.
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide personalized recommendations for dining, entertainment, cultural attractions, transportation, and local experiences throughout Washington, DC.
  • Coordinate guest room reservations, dining reservations, room service requests, and transportation arrangements.
  • Arrange restaurant reservations, transportation, sightseeing tours, tickets, and special guest requests.
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively create memorable experiences.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, attractions, and service providers.
  • Conduct pre-arrival communication with guests as needed.
  • Assist VIP guests with personalized itineraries and special arrangements.

Position Summary

The Concierge / Front Desk Agent is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences from arrival through departure. As one of the primary points of contact for guests, this role combines traditional front desk responsibilities with personalized concierge services, ensuring each guest receives warm, attentive, and seamless service throughout their stay. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, possesses extensive knowledge of Washington, DC, and is committed to delivering the highest level of luxury service.

Front Desk Operations
