Hermès Madison Flagship Boutique in New York is seeking a Cashier to support front-of-house operations in a fast-paced luxury environment. You will process transactions, assist with wrapping and packaging, and provide excellent service while collaborating with sales teams to enhance the client journey.

The role requires 1 year of retail experience (luxury preferred), strong communication, and cash handling proficiency. Regular in-person work and a focus on accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience, luxury environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills and client focus.
• Knowledge of operating cash register or POS terminal.
• Good numerical sense, detail-oriented with integrity in payments.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Customer service oriented and able to multitask.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with grace and composure.
• Ability to lift 0-25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record point of sales transactions at the register.
• Provide high levels of service in Hermès standards, including greeting and wrapping.
• Support Sales Team with cashier services as needed.
• Process payments (cash, credit card, other) accurately.
• Handle returns, exchanges, refunds, tax refunds per policy.
• Reconcile daily transactions and ensure cash flow integrity.
• Input transaction and client information and prepare cashier reports.
• Answer phones promptly with professional service.
• Support general store operations and ad hoc duties as assigned.
• Promote teamwork with the store team.
• Regular in-person work at a designated location is essential.
