Job summary

Hermès is seeking a Cashier for the Madison flagship boutique in New York. The role supports front-of-house operations, processes transactions at the register, and collaborates with the sales and support teams to deliver an exceptional client experience in a luxury setting.

Responsibilities include handling cash/card payments, processing returns/exchanges, reconciling daily transactions, and assisting with opening/closing procedures while maintaining Hermès service standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience; luxury environment preferred.
• Strong communication and cash handling skills.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain integrity in payments.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record POS transactions at the register.
• Provide high levels of service per Hermès standards.
• Process payments (cash, card) accurately.
• Handle returns, exchanges, refunds, and tax refunds per policy.
• Reconcile daily transactions and cash balances.
• Input transaction and client data accurately; assist with daily cashier reports.
