Job summary

Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, VA seeks an In-Room Dining Attendant to deliver prompt, accurate room service with a friendly, guest-focused attitude. You will describe menu items, relay special requests, and ensure timely delivery to guestrooms.

The role requires strong English communication, multitasking, and the ability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays. A high school diploma and 0–2 years in food service, plus TIPS Certification and CPR/First Aid, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of food service experience.
• TIPS Certification
• Certified in CPR, First Aid AED
• Fluent English (written, spoken and reading).

Responsibilities

• Provides extensive knowledge of food & beverage menu items and preparation methods.
• Communicates guest orders using the hotel’s POS system and delivers items to guestrooms.
• Anticipates guest needs, ensures satisfaction, and addresses concerns promptly.
• Process payments and close guest checks accurately.
• Deliver food orders to guestrooms timely while ensuring quality.
• Greet guests and describe items with engaging detail and accuracy.
• Maintain room service setup and stations, ensuring cleanliness.
• Work professionally with coworkers and supervisors and perform other duties.
