Job summary

Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking a Server to greet guests, take orders, and deliver food and beverages with warmth and precision in a luxury setting.

You will maintain high standards of hygiene, promote hotel services, and handle payments while providing outstanding guest experiences. A high school diploma and 1 year in food service are required; CPR/First Aid AED and TIPS certifications are a plus; candidates must lift up to 25 pounds and be able to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of food service experience.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage and product knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work varied shifts.
• Exemplary English language skills; TIPS, CPR/First Aid AED certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mise-en-place; set up and clear tables.
• Provide hospitality and serve food and drinks per hotel standards.
• Promote hotel services and products.
• Take orders and relay to kitchen; ensure accuracy.
• Post guest checks and process payments per control procedures.
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Describe menu items with clear descriptions to guests.
• Communicate guest orders to kitchen via POS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
