Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a fluids design engineer for the Lunar Transfer Stage gas systems. You will own the lifecycle from definition to verification, including valves, pumps, heat exchangers, and sensors, ensuring structural integrity under pressure and vibration.

You’ll collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to deliver hardware on a tight schedule. The role requires a strong background in fluid components, CAD design (Creo), and experience with system-level analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in aerospace fluid or mechanical systems design with testing.
• Hands-on experience building/testing mechanical assemblies or pressurized systems.
• Proficiency with CAD and engineering tools; GD&T experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fluids sub-assembly; CAD parts/assemblies and trade studies.
• Generate P&IDs using AutoCAD and maintain test plans.
• Define interfaces between fluid systems and other subsystems.
• Size, select materials, analyze components for pressure, vibration, fatigue.
• Procure components, support fabrication, and manage sub-assembly plans.
