Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Fluids Systems Engineer to contribute to the MK1 Lunar Lander family. You will work within the Fluids Systems Engineering team, applying your expertise in fluids, propulsion, and systems engineering to drive design, verification, and testing across the development cycle.

The role requires collaboration in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills, and experience with hydrogen/oxygen systems. U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in aerospace, mechanical, physics, systems engineering or related technical subject.
• 3+ years of proven experience in fluids, propulsion, or aerospace systems.
• Experience with fluid/gas components (solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, regulators, pumps, pressure vessels, instrumentation).
• Experience with systems engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with some oversight as part of the Fluids and Propulsion IPT.
• Own subsystem level documentation and analyses, incorporating verification data as it becomes available.
• Ensure timely updates and communication of subsystem level architecture diagrams, schematics.
• Understand and apply systems engineering fundamentals across development lifecycle: concept, requirements, design, analysis, validation, integration, safety, configuration management, verification, and test.
• Integrate fluids and propulsion subsystems with overall vehicle design, analysis, software, and operations.
• Support development and execution of component and subsystem tests.
• Tackle Fluids Systems Engineer tasks like leading trade studies, component design/integration, first-order analysis, and test support.
