Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington state is seeking a Senior Fluids Systems Engineer to join the MK1 Fluids Systems Engineering team. You will apply your systems engineering, fluids, and propulsion expertise to support the Blue Moon lander programs and related products.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, conduct trade studies, design integration, and test support across the full development cycle, working to ensure safe, reusable, and high‑quality spaceflight hardware for Earth-to-lunar transport.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in fluids, propulsion, or aerospace systems.
• Lead cross-functional teams and subsystems trade studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience across the SE development cycle (concept, requirements, design, analysis, integration, verification, test).
• Experience with fluid/gas components (valves, manifolds, pumps, instrumentation).
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with minimal oversight as part of the Fluids and Propulsion IPT.
• Lead subsystem trade studies from concept through approval and implementation.
• Tackle trade studies, design/integration, first-order analysis, and test support.
• Ensure timely updates and communication of subsystem architecture diagrams and schematics.
• Apply SE fundamentals across the development cycle: concept, requirements, design, analysis, safety, verification, test.
• Integrate fluids and propulsion with overall vehicle design, software, and operations.
• Support development and execution of component and subsystem tests.
