Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to join the Lunar Permanence team, focusing on the helium subsystem for the Transfer Stage Vehicle at the Rocket Park Facility in Florida.

You will design, analyze, procure, install, and test components such as valves, bottles, regulators, and piping, ensuring structural integrity under pressure and vibration, with collaboration across suppliers and internal groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years in aerospace fluid/mechanical systems design.
• Experience in 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred).
• Knowledge of gas systems.
• GD&T expertise (ASME Y14.5).
• Flow and pressure calculations with fluid system analysis.
• Hands-on experience with pressurized components.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible status.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fluids sub-assembly design and procurement, including developing specification and CAD drawings.
• Design and/or create specifications for fluid/gas components (valves, manifolds, regulators).
• Develop and maintain interface definitions between fluid systems and subsystems.
• Design and analyze components for fluid, thermal, and structural applications.
• Perform component verification per company standards.
