Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced Liquids Cryogenic Hardware Design Engineer to own the full lifecycle of mission-critical fluid systems for lunar mission vehicles. You will design, analyze, build, test, integrate, and operate fluids and propulsion subsystems, driving foundational technology for a new space economy.

This role requires leadership, quality focus, and collaboration across engineering teams, with travel up to 15% and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 2+ years in aerospace propulsion and fluid analysis and piping design.
• Familiarity with propulsion and fluid system components (valves, regulators, pumps) for cryogenics and propellants.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and create fabrication and installation drawings with Creo Parametric.
• Desired: cryogenic fluids knowledge and testing experience.
• Experience with piping and tubing design using ANSYS, Thermal Desktop; Creo Parametric and Windchill.

Responsibilities

• Define Fluids component requirements meeting system needs and evaluate designs.
• Present component details in vehicle design reviews and answer component questions.
• Generate and release engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with supplier team to identify materials and components.
• Finalize design, build, test, and deliver components to the vehicle.
• Generate test and analysis reports for subsystem campaigns.
• Provide complete component verification products.
