Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Fluids Test Engineer to join the Integration and Test team in the United States. The role focuses on designing and validating high-pressure gas and cryogenic fluid systems for the Lunar Permanence program, including process architecture and test fixtures.

You will conduct hazard analyses, manage suppliers, and coordinate project plans with customers while mentoring newer engineers. A BS in a technical field and 5+ years of fluids experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical discipline (Aerospace, Mechanical, Physics)
• 5+ years of fluids, pneumatic, or cryogenic experience
• Experience with fluid analysis and piping design
• Knowledge of fluid system components (valves, regulators, pumps)
• Experience with facility instrumentation and data acquisition systems
• Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of high-pressure gas and cryogenic fluid systems, including process architecture.
• Design and develop mechanical test fixtures and structural supports.
• Conduct Process Hazard Analysis for fluid systems (HAZOP).
• Manage suppliers, coordinating cost, schedule, and technical design requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive project plans including budget and WBS.
• Coordinate with customers to refine project scope and requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform peer reviews.
