Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Thermal Engineer/Analyst to perform transient thermal analyses for lunar landers and related systems using Thermal Desktop.

You will capture inputs, run trade studies, predict temps and heat transfer, and document results while collaborating with a team dedicated to safe human spaceflight. US citizen or eligible to work in the US is required.

A B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering is required; MS and 10 years aerospace experience are desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 8 year relevant Thermal Engineering/Analysis experience.
• Solid understanding of thermal fundamentals.
• Demonstrated thermal analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform system level transient thermal analysis of lunar landers using Thermal Desktop.
• Capture system inputs and perform trade studies.
• Predict temperature and heat transfer and document results.
• Collaborate with a team of Thermal Engineers and Analysts.
