Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Thermal Engineer to perform system-level transient thermal analysis for lunar landers using Thermal Desktop and SINDA. You will collaborate with a team of engineers on the Lunar Permanence program to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective thermal solutions for spaceflight environments.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical or aerospace thermal engineering, along with experience in model validation and test correlation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
• MS degree preferred for seniority and breadth of aerospace experience.
• 8 years of relevant Thermal Engineering/Analysis experience or more required.
• Solid understanding of thermal fundamentals and system-level trade studies.
• Experience with Thermal Desktop and SINDA is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level transient thermal analysis of lunar landers using Thermal Desktop.
• Capture system inputs, run trade studies, and predict temperatures and heat transfer.
• Document results and present findings to the team.
• Contribute to a team of Thermal Engineers and Analysts developing lunar vehicles.
• Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and commitment to safety and quality.
