Blue Origin in Merritt Island, Florida, is seeking a Thermal Engineer to support the Lunar Permanence program. You will conduct system-level transient thermal analyses for lunar landers using Thermal Desktop, perform trade studies, predict temperatures and heat transfer, and document results.

You will join a team of engineers to apply technical expertise and leadership to advance safe human spaceflight, with a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 8 years of Thermal Engineering/Analysis experience.
• Demonstrated thermal analysis skills.
• Experience with Thermal Desktop and SINDA.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsabilités

• Perform system-level transient thermal analysis of lunar landers using Thermal Desktop.
• Capture system inputs and perform trade studies.
• Predict temperature and heat transfer and document results.
• Contribute to a team of Thermal Engineers developing lunar vehicles.
