Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Thermal Engineer for the Lunar Core Components Heat Transfer team in Seattle. You will contribute to thermal hardware for lunar landers and drive designs through build, test, and verification to support safe human spaceflight.

Qualifications include a B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 3+ years in thermal engineering, with strong CFD/Heat transfer skills and Creo CAD experience. Relocation and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering required.
• 3+ years of thermal engineering experience.
• Strong grasp of heat transfer and fluid system fundamentals.
• Familiarity with heat exchangers, cold plates, radiators, and spacecraft hardware.
• Experience designing, sizing, building, and testing hardware.
• Basic CAD experience; Creo preferred.
• Experience with CFD methods for component-level analysis.
• Experience with Thermal Desktop, FloCAD, MATLAB, Python scripting, CFD++, Ansys Fluent.
• Demonstrated experience in cross-functional teamwork to deliver results.

Responsibilities
