Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Thermal Engineer to join the Lunar Core Components Heat Transfer team. You will apply your thermal and CFD expertise to contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of thermal hardware for lunar landers.

You will drive hardware from concept through build and verification in a safety-focused aerospace environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging CAD tools like Creo.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering required; MS/PhD preferred.
• 3+ years of thermal engineering experience.
• Strong heat transfer and fluid fundamentals.
• Experience with heat exchangers, cold plates, radiators, and spacecraft hardware.
• Experience designing, sizing, building, and testing hardware.
• CAD experience; Creo preferred.
• Experience with CFD for component-level analysis.
• Thermal analysis software tools: Thermal Desktop, FloCAD, MATLAB, Python, CFD++, Ansys Fluint.
