Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Thermal Engineer for the Lunar Core Components Heat Transfer team to advance lunar lander hardware with a focus on heat transfer and thermal analyses. You will help design, analyze, and test thermal systems for lunar spacecraft.

You will collaborate with mechanical, systems, and software teams to validate models against test data and support build, test, and verification activities. A BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant Thermal Engineering experience.
  • Strong grasp of heat transfer and fluid system fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with heat exchangers, cold plates, radiators, and other spacecraft hardware.
  • Experience designing, sizing, building, and/or testing hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Apply heat transfer and CFD expertise to lunar vehicle architectures.
  • Contribute to hardware development, build, test, and verification.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe human spaceflight hardware.
