Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Thermal Engineer to join the Lunar Core Components Heat Transfer team, applying your expertise to thermal analysis across lunar vehicle architectures. Qualifications

  • BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • 3+ years of thermal engineering experience.
  • Strong grasp of heat transfer and fluid fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with heat exchangers, cold plates, radiators, and related hardware.
  • Experience designing, sizing, building, and testing hardware.
  • Basic CAD experience; Creo preferred.
  • CFD methods for component-level analysis.
  • Experience with Thermal Desktop, FloCAD, MATLAB, Python, CFD++, Ansys Fluint.
  • Cross-functional teamwork to deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Provide thermal analysis expertise to Lunar vehicle architectures.
  • Contribute to a team of Thermal Engineers developing lunar lander hardware.
  • Drive designs through build, test, and verification.
  • Apply technical leadership and a strong commitment to quality for safe human spaceflight.
