Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Thermal Engineer to join the Lunar Core Components Heat Transfer team in Huntsville. You will contribute to ground-breaking thermal hardware for lunar landers, driving designs through build, test, and verification with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role requires 3+ years in thermal engineering, solid heat transfer knowledge, and CAD proficiency (Creo). Collaboration across disciplines is essential to deliver robust, testable solutions for spaceflight

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 3+ years in thermal engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in heat transfer and fluid systems.
• Experience with space hardware design, sizing, and testing.
• CAD experience, preferably Creo; CFD and thermal analysis tools familiar.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to thermal hardware development for lunar landers.
• Drive designs through build, test, and verification phases.
• Apply leadership and engineering judgment to ensure quality and safety.
