Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Principal Structural Analyst within the Lunar Permanence unit to lead structural analyses of propulsion, thermal, and mechanical systems for lunar transport hardware. You will drive analysis quality and integrity across cross-functional teams, applying first principles and classical/FEA methods.

Responsibilities include static/modal/fatigue/damage-tolerance analyses, GD&T compliance, and communication of results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed structural analyses of Thermal/Fluids and mechanical systems using classical methods and finite element method.
• Perform static structural, modal, random vibration, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses.
• Apply first principles to solve complex structural analysis problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of analysis outcomes with project goals.
• Utilize 3D CAD modeling programs (preferably Creo) and FEA tools to perform analyses as well as closed form solutions.
• Ensure compliance with GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5) and environmental testing requirements.
• Prepare and present technical reports, design concepts, and analysis results to stakeholders and customers.
