Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Houston is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a Service Center with up to 450+ employees, directing LTL operations across multiple shifts in a fast-paced environment.

You will hire, train, coach and develop staff, ensure safety and KPI targets, coordinate drivers and routes, and maintain strong customer relationships. This role requires strong leadership and willingness to work long hours, including nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of all aspects of an LTL service center preferred.
• Must have strong leadership and customer service focus.
• Willingness to work 50 hours/week and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct employees; set goals and monitor performance.
• Oversee dock planning, schedules and KPI delivery.
• Hire, train, coach, and terminate as needed.
• Ensure safety and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Coordinate drivers and delivery routes.
• Process service center business plan as set by SC Manager.
• Manage operations in absence of SC Manager.
• Ensure timely pickup/delivery and accurate billing.
