Job summary

Estes Express in Georgia seeks a Dock Supervisor to lead dock employees, set performance targets, and ensure a safe, efficient LTL operation. You will oversee scheduling, equipment movement, and documentation while enforcing policy and coaching staff.

You will participate in hiring decisions, maintain strong customer communication, and drive KPI attainment. Flexibility for shifts, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background; Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry; basic paperwork flow preferred.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience in LTL trucking.
• Strong leadership, coaching and termination decision capabilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
• Proficient in planning and organization; able to work 50 hours/week on various shifts.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs. or more when required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees; set targets; monitor performance; coach and develop staff.
• Ensure efficient, clean, and safe LTL operation; manage dock planning and schedules.
• Enforce company policies; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in hiring and termination processes; implement service center plan.
• Meet KPIs; utilize tools and processes; optimize schedules to reduce costs.
• Coordinate equipment movement (trailers/tractors) with supervisors/management.
• Maintain clear customer communications via phone, fax, or email.
• Ensure accurate dock paperwork and timely processing by staff.
• Regular attendance; perform other duties as assigned.
