Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Long-Term Care (LTC) Specialty Account Manager (SAM) to drive LTC commercial activities within an assigned geography." You will execute strategies to ensure a successful launch and improve patient outcomes by engaging LTC teams and payers.

Responsibilities include building relationships with psychiatrists, neurologists, nurses, and LTC staff; developing territory plans; and navigating access and reimbursement programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including 2+ years in LTC or account-based selling environments.
• Launch experience strongly preferred.
• Must live within the geography of the assigned territory.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under accelerated timelines.
• Ability to thrive with ambiguity and high-expectation environments.
• Patient support services experience a plus.
• Strong digital marketing aptitude.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive product adoption in LTC facilities.
• Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagements.
• Call on LTC care teams and build relationships across the LTC ecosystem.
• Develop territory business plans with account plans for targeted LTC facilities.
• Promote labeling in a comprehensive, ethical manner consistent with guidelines.
• Develop strong customer relationships and understand customer needs.
• Provide payer-related guidance and navigate access/reimbursement processes.
• Communicate territory activity to management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate across corporate functions and attend meetings as needed.
