Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Long-Term Care (LTC) Specialty Account Manager to drive LTC commercial activities across an assigned geography and execute strategies for a successful launch.

The SAM will be a disease-state expert and account specialist, providing insights into the local landscape, payer policies and access programs while building strong relationships with care teams and key stakeholders in LTC facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including 2+ years in LTC or account-based selling environments.
• Launch experience strongly preferred.
• Must live within the geography of the assigned territory.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and achieving business goals.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under accelerated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive product adoption in LTC facilities and engage both virtual and live.
• Call on LTC care teams and build relationships across psychiatrists, neurologists, nurses, and staff.
• Develop territory business plans with account-focused strategies to exceed goals.
• Navigate payer policies, patient access programs, and reimbursement tools.
• Collaborate across corporate functions and manage promotional budget.
• Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
