Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Long-Term Care Specialty Account Manager to drive LTC commercial activities across a designated geography, executing strategies to support a successful product launch and improve patient outcomes.

The SAM will be a disease-state expert and account specialist, building relationships across LTC care teams, navigating payer policies, and delivering territory plans to meet quarterly and annual goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including 2+ years in LTC or account-based selling environments.
• Demonstrated experience delivering outstanding results, including Top 10% or Elite/President’s Club performance.
• Launch experience strongly preferred.
• Must live within the geography of the assigned territory.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing differential resources to achieve business goals.
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks concurrently under accelerated timelines in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to thrive with ambiguity and business environments with high expectations.
• Patient support services experience a plus.
• Strong digital marketing aptitude.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive product adoption in LTC facilities.
• Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagements.
• Effectively call on LTC Care teams, building meaningful relationships across the entire LTC ecosystem.
• Develop a comprehensive territory business plan inclusive of account plans for targeted LTC facilities.
• Promote within our approved labeling in a comprehensive, fair, and ethical manner.
• Develop strong customer relationships by understanding the customer’s needs.
