Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Long-Term Care (LTC) Specialty Account Manager (SAM) to drive LTC commercial activities and execute market strategies for a defined geography. The SAM will act as a disease-state expert, product champion, and account specialist, providing consultative support and insights on the local landscape to optimize future opportunities.

The role requires building strong relationships with psychiatrists, neurologists, and LTC care teams, managing territory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including 2+ years in LTC or account-based selling environments.
• Launch experience strongly preferred.
• Must live within the geography of the assigned territory.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing differential resources to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive product adoption in LTC facilities.
• Proficient in both virtual and live customer engagements.
• Call on LTC care teams and build relationships across the LTC ecosystem.
• Develop territory business plans and account plans to meet quarterly and annual goals.
• Promote within labeling in a compliant, ethical manner.
• Navigate payer policies and processes including eligibility, prior authorization, and appeals/denials.
